And the Oscar goes to……! These words have a heart pounding and a career impacting result on the nominees. Oscar presenters have been the highlight of the Academy Award. Usually their speeches are the ones that entertain the listeners. In order to honor the academy awards we bring to you a memorabilia of the best presenters of the oscars.
And the winners are ! Drumroll please…
He made every one laugh with his avatar impersonation.A stellar comedian his performance remains one of the best to date.
9. Robert Mitchum and Sigourney Weaver
This is a classic presenter combo and Mitchum’s performance is pure gold, giving the impression
that he doesn’t quite see what the big deal is, or indeed who Sigourney
Weaver is. But his “Winds of War” line is a killer, and when Weaver
does a quintessential presenter comment — “They are all brilliant; I
stand in awe of talent” — she gets a genial comeback from the great man.
8. Will Ferell and Jack Black
When a Will Ferrell or a Jack Black is called out to present an award,
you can expect something wacky, ingenious, and very un-Oscar. At the
look-how-wild-we-are MTV Movie Awards, or the look-how-hip-we-are Independent Spirits, that kind of zaniness is part of the parade.
7. Tom Hanks
Tom Hanks always brings a level of grace and class any time he appears
onstage as himself. The Academy Awards commenced with the appearance of
this two-time Oscar-winning bosom buddy and almost immediately went
downhill in terms of grace and class.
6. Russell Brand and Helen Mirren
Russell Brand was there as part of the egregiously obvious grasp for a
younger demographic and Helen Mirren was there to get the grayhairs.
Surprise: Brand actually was funny to anyone of any age with a sense of
humor.
5. Tina Fey and Steve Martin
Fans of subtle, off-the-cuff humor will remember this moment between the 30 Rock costars
Tina Fey and Steve Martin. Was it improv? Probably. As he read from the
teleprompter, she gazed at him longingly. Then, he turns and descends a
stern finger at her, warning, “Don’t fall in love with me.” Fey, queen
of the reaction shot, gave a look that said, “I’ll try, but I’m not
making any promises.”
4. Kevin Spacey
Another two-time Oscar winner provided one of the other better presenter
segments of the night.Kevin came out to sing and then announced that he
was George Clooney.
3. Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill
Seeing Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill back in 2008—with their matching Jewfros and thick-frame glasses—was like watching
those guys who used to hit your bong back at Vassar hit the big time
after they stumbled into a three-picture deal. Before presenting the
award for sound editing, they launched into an absurdist disagreement
about who gives off more of a Halle Berry vibe, and who gives off more
of a Judi Dench vibe. We’ll never know the answer, and that’s exactly
the point.
2. James Franco and Anne Hathaway
Without a doubt casting all glances on them as the stunning two some
light up the stage with their wit and and good looks. They both shared
amazing chemistry and made everyone laugh at their antics.
1. Ricky Gervais
Ricky was invited back as the host of the Oscars his year, in spite of
all the flak he got in 2011 for being so harsh on some of Hollywood’s
favorite celebs! Well, Ricky brought his A-game, leaving few stars
unscathed. And while most jabs were all in good fun, probably the one
person who isn’t laughing tonight is Kim Kardarshian.
